Before getting to know your story, it’s only fair that I share mine.
Hi 👋 I’m Danielle Cuthbert.
I’m Sydney born and raised with Irish heritage, which means I don’t take life too seriously. Aside from being a stickler for a great quote and meme (which I do believe is an effective form of communication, at times!), I am passionate about connecting people, crafting stories and creating change.
My journey as a Communication Specialist started out a little different. While I entered the world of storytelling early, as a lover of books and drama, my professional career started out as a mental health spokesperson following a challenging recovery and an eagerness to make a difference through sharing my story. Incidentally, I developed a love for connecting with people and a desire to hear their stories. I channelled this passion into my career, and have never looked back.
Over the past 10 years I have been playing with words, actively shaping stories, facilitating conversation and creating impactful campaigns across mental health, health, not-for-profit, tech, lived experience, government and academia sectors. I have a knack for translating complex issues into easily understood communication and marketing content. One of my favourite things to do is build and implement innovative co-designed communication and marketing campaigns that tell powerful stories and connect communities to an organisation’s cause or service.
My key ingredients for effective communication are purpose, simplicity and creativity.
Whether you need extra hands on deck or someone to manage strategy through to implementation, I’m up for it.
